If you are considering purchasing a product in the next few weeks, you may want to do that before the end of February to ensure there are no delays.
We seem to have finally fixed this problem, you can still go ahead and use your credit card for orders.
2013-01-25 21:41:28 (33716 views) To anyone who may be attempting DIY mods to adapt yet unsupported chastity devices for the DreamLover 2000(or planning to). We recently discovered that certain types of EMI shielding tapes can both be comfortable and offer very good contact with skin.
These tapes are not "aluminum foil" but are made from woven fibers. Therefore they are very flexible (like textile) and the edges aren't particularly sharp. The keywords to search for are "conductive fabric tape".
There are two types, one is made of copper and covered in nickel. It's cheaper and generally OK to wear but 1% of men are allergic to nickel. Nickel is not exactly OK for long term, but it's sometimes used in jewelry. It's not particularly toxic either (as far as we know). Use at your own risk. The other type is either made of silver fibers or silver coated and offers more biocompatibility. It is also probably more resistant to corrosion from sweat and water. The nickel type will eventually turn green from the copper beneath becoming exposed and oxidized.
If you use this kind of tape you should plan on possibly replacing it every few weeks, especially the nickel type. The adhesive layer below is also very conductive (opposes virtually no resistance for our purposes), but it sticks very well so it may be difficult to remove periodically. The stickiness _is_ very useful if you are trying to make the tape adhere to other metallic parts. On the other hand, water may weaken the adhesive, this will depend on the exact brand and glue composition.
Overall this sort of woven conductive tape offers an excellent solution for people who prefer the inside of the CB to be smooth and free of electrodes. Applying small patches of this tape to the inside of the CB will make portions of the surface conductive as required for pulse delivery. You will of course still have to find a good way to connect the DreamLover's ring terminals to the tape itself, but no metallic part inside the cage will be necessary.
