CB6000 cage is thinner, lighter, more fragile than CB3000

2010-04-20 00:52:44 (9244 views)

Although the ring attachment system in the CB6000 is better because of its shape (not exactly circular) and assembly method, the cage itself is lighter and thinner, and it feels a lot more fragile.

We would recommend any new buyers to go with the 3000 model which also has the famous "hole" through which the DL2000 electrodes are attached.

You know, I was wondering. Since the Phoenix / Sapphire people are making their device compatible with the DL2000, have you contacted AL Enterprises to see if they have any interest in making their products compatible?

I wonder if they'd be up for making a "new and improved" cage for their products. Maybe even one that has electrodes built in, sorta like some of the E-Stim plugs etc do.

This could be a poetential win/win situation for everyone. They get to sell more stuff. DL Labs doesn't have the headache or worrying how to attach the DL2000 and we get a professionally made product that we don't have to try to modify ourselves and will be ready to connect to the DL2000.

I don't know how receptive they are to outside ideas and you've probably already thought of it in the first place.

Just wondering.........

Maybe if they heard it from us, their customers, they would be more receptive / responsive.

Let's see if I can find some contact info for them.

OK...I found it. http://www.cb-2000.com/contact.html

Anyone that has any interest in contacting AL Enterprises about a CB6000 (or any other model) cage with built in electrodes etc can use the above address for that purpose.

I'm going to drop them a line, expressing interest in such a product, as soon as I finish typing this....and double checking for typos. :-)

Good luck with that company. I ordered one each of their "Dream Lover" compatible chastity devices nearly 3 weeks ago and I still haven't received them. I've sent them multiple emails and they ignored me until I threatened to tell DreamLoverLabs about my experience with them. They told me almost a week ago that they would mail them. If I don't receive them in a couple of days I intend to report them to my credit card company as a fraudulent company for non receipt of product and to secure my funds back from that company. They're terrible. Dream Lover Labs should take away their certification and advertisement of that company to avoid receiving a lot of oomplaints.

Which company are you referring to?

I was talking about AL Enterprises....the makers of the CBX000 series. I'm not aware of a Dreamlover compatible unit from them yet. Is there one now, or are you referring the the Phoenix / Sapphire folks?

I DID send an inquiry to them a little while ago. No reply yet, but we'll see what they have to say.
By dreamloverlabs at 2010-04-20 20:07:00 Reply
When we asked them about potential CB6000 mods in order to be compatible, we were already having an email exchange with them - therefore the message got through for sure, now it's up to them to say whether this is something they want to bother doing or not. Given that our product is not out yet, they may not want to take the risk of changing their mold yet. Also their distributors may have lots of standard CB6000s in stock so there are many things they have to consider in order to make a move.

I have a Sapphire from Pheonix in NZ. Whilst they sometimes took days to answer, I managed to have a delivery within about 3 weeks.

As for Dream Lover compliant, I would suggest that they are still developing molds etc. Have you emailed them? I know they gained my trust.

We've spoken with the people at Phoenixchastity.com, exchanged drawings etc - They are producing an extra part that will allow you to attach the DL2000 and promising their devices will have an opening to attach electrodes. So that's where the compatibility "certification" comes from. As for their customer service we wouldn't really know, we'll try to email them and tell them to check out this forum and your complaints and see if they can speed up their response a bit!

Electrodick, does the unit they're shipping out already have an opening for the electrodes? If you take a video of how this belt works we may post it here for everyone. We tried to get Phoenixchastity to give us videos but they were having issues with their equipment...

The company that I am still having problems receiving the order that I placed over 3 weeks ago and has been most unresponsive is Phoenix who sells the sapphire and guardian models. Please don't ever order anything from them.

Umm... nevermind my previous question about DL2000 working with CB 6000. Just found the "Compatibility" link on the main website (it's on the top right corner of all pages).

The Phoenix Sapphire is the best device I have worn, period. The tapered ring fits great and causes less chaffing than the cb6000 ring. The support at Phoenix was great, fast response to email, and only a week for delivery crossing oceans and masses of land. I've tried the cbx series, birdlocked, a belt, and some other stuff. The sapphire is by far the best of them. They also said that as soon as the DreamLover is ready they will make the part to attach it.

You do know that they recently modified the CB-3000 to be oval shaped pin and such. Right? It's no longer compatible with the CB-2000.
By johnsteed at 2010-05-06 09:15:56 Reply
I think you are confusing the CB-3000 with the newer CB-6000 which has the oval pin.
By johnsteed at 2010-05-06 09:22:58 Reply
OK -- my bad! I just checked the cb-2000.com website and you are apparently RIGHT. They have changed the design of the CB-3000 to use the rings from the 6000. And -- what a nightmare -- they didn't change the name of the part! It's still called the CB-3000! So you can go out and purchased rings and other add-ons that should be compatible with your CB-3000, but they might not be depending on if you have the "original" or "new" CB-3000. At least when they made the "small" version of the CB-6000 tube, they called it the CB-6000S (too small for me, though).

Well, this is interesting. But a bit of a conundrum. Unlike the guys at DLLabs, I prefer the 6000 to the 3000, and it's only partly due to the rings. Since these things STILL have the huge flaw that they crack along the seams, and glue causes the plastic to loose it's shine (and thus gather dirt and such) they need to be replaced form time to time after heavy use. So when I next go to replace my CB-6000, I'm going to be stumped as to whether I go for a Sapphire, a "new" CB-3000 or a CB-6000.
By dreamloverlabs at 2010-05-06 09:24:43 Reply
Why do you like the 6000? It's thinner and seems a lot more fragile. Anyway our rubber attachment is 100% compatible with the 6000 style rings so - your choice :)
By johnsteed at 2010-05-06 18:24:33 Reply
I haven't had any problems with the thinner plastic in the CB-6000 (hadn't actually noticed). The 6000 just seemed to fit me better -- though it absolutely requires lube for me to wear (they should find a way to coat the inside with Teflon; probably not easy with Polycarbonate since it melts). I do prefer the side vents to the top and bottom ones in the 3000 -- but then again, the top and bottom ones are a bonus for the DL-2000.

I will fully admit -- the biggest improvement in the 6000 was the ring attachments. The original 3000 rings with the pivot rivet always, always broke around the rivet after extended wear. That's a non-starter for me. The rings kept breaking. The 6000 rings are far superior (if slightly more complex to put on and take off). So, now that the new 3000s have the 6000 rings, might be the way to go. As I mentioned, though, the Millers really should put some $$ into fixing the seam splitting problem. Either find a factory that can do the sonic welds right, switch to glue, or spend the money on a seamless molding process (requires temporary dissolvable forms; no idea if such things are used with polycarbonate).
