2011-12-15 08:00:25 (11786 views) After untold problems clearing components from customs, yesterday we showed up at the factory 3 hours away only to find they had "misplaced" the stencil and that we had to come back again the next day. Today though, finally we have some great results.
This new assembly house does not have all the fancy tools the other one had, but they work HARD. There were a few critical moments that required our presence (capacitors mounted the wrong way, boards falling off the conveyor belt because no one was there to pick them up after going through the oven, one accelerometer that needed further soldering) but today we put together 5 beautiful and perfectly working ChronoVaults, 5 DreamLover 2000 receivers and 5 remote controls. We've befriended the boss and she's now personally mounting components for us and looking over a few helpers. She's very skilled and on top of things, so we'll just stay home and let them work. This assembly house has a high percentage of female workers. One of them, who is doing most of the ChronoVault work, is very cute and has beautiful slim hands capably handling our components and freshly built boards.
We should have everything finished up by Monday or Tuesday, so we'll go back to the factory to test everything, make any necessary adjustments, and hopefully ship everything to our warehouses ready for your last-minute Christmas orders!
