This is a response to something you posted a couple of months back. I tried using a soldering iron to convert a new CB3000 ring to work on an old 3000 by opening up the central elliptical pin hole. It worked fine, but the new rough surface quickly turned black, I assume with bacterial loading, despite not making any skin contact. It couldn't be completely cleaned out. You may want to give your intended method of mounting electrodes a little more thought.
I did this with a drill a long time before the new CB3000 was available but not sure drilling a CB6000 is a good idea melting the hole should work fine as long as the endes are cleaned up but if need be once the plastic screw is in the hole could be sealed
Drilling is not recommended it requires familiarity with polycarbonate and drill bits and it may crack your chastity device. The iron method is tested and easy, you can use a cheap 5$ soldering iron for this. No need to seal the hole.
The CB3000 already has a hole at the bottom there should be no need to make another one.
Not sure what you mean by the hole turned black we haven't experienced anything of that sort here. Can this black stuff be washed or is it embedded in the plastic ?
By the way just reading that again, you tried to make the hole in a piece of polycarbonate that is what, 1cm thick? The material may have burned, the cage is only 1mm thick on the CB6000, it's a much easier business than adding a hole to the ring.
Sounds like he's saying that he used the soldering iron to enlarge a hole on the ring of his CB3000. What I'm getting from this is that when he initially used the iron to enlarge the hole, it looked fine, but the surface was now not quite as smooth as it was before and after wearing it, the hole turned black. I don't think it IMMEDIATELY turned black from being burned. I think it turned black after being worn for some time, due to dirt or bacteria that were now able to adhere to the rough surface in the hole.
I know that the DL team has experimented in making holes in the 6K, but after the hole was created, was the device actually worn for any lengthy period of time?
Well I didn't get that black problem and I enlarged the hole on my cb3000 a very long time ago although I used a drill and drilling the cage of the cb6000 to fit the DL2000 would be a bad idea as it would be likely to break it due to it being so thin. However using a soldering iron shouldn't cause a problem wire wooling the edges would sooth off any rough bits anyway.
