EMC test report

Except for a careless mention of "i-pod/aux in mode" which seems to be a leftover from whatever previous document was used as a template (soon corrected, we hope), the test reports for US and EU seem good. A few interesting diagrams:









The product does many things, but one thing it's not going to do is play your MP3s for you... please strike out the i-pod mode! :)

Assuming there are no battery certification troubles this report makes us good to go for the US and shortly we'll have the LVD stuff for the EU.

This "aux in/iPod function" brings up new ideas! Like having the usb DL2k-LINK command the receiver to deliver pulses and arousals based on a tune played on the computer. Or - why not - make it sensible to the mistress' voice via a microphone connected to the computer. This way, we can have a female-to-male voice converter: Mistress' Oh!s and Ah!s get converted into male's Ouch!s and Ugh!s :)

Before the management at the lab corrected the problem and quickly issued a revised report we had time to get a very irritating spontaneous email from the "bad contact" we've talked about. He said

"Oh that won't affect anything besides you've already checked the report so sorry".

Basically he wanted to stick us with a joke report claiming i-pod functionality :)

We've corrected the problem and got the signed test reports now. This is China... The wild east...

Fortunately we're already nuts... or we wouldn't be in China starting this kind of business :)

We got what we wanted now and we're moving the other test over to a new lab.
