2010-07-25 23:31:31 (8335 views) The complete DL2000 including the arousal inducer was tested (with a CB6000) for a full day. Here are the results in misc order.
COMFORT
The level of comfort was pretty much identical to wearing only the CB6000. Initially some skin got caught between the inner cable (the cable connected to the inner electrode) and the ring but sliding the cable inside the ring fixed this. The arousal inducer and inner cable occupy a fraction of the space within the cage, however because the penis is tightly inserted into the cage and pushed from all directions this doesn't change the feeling of wearing the device one bit.
FUNCTIONALITY
Ever since we switched to the new RF modules months and months ago, we have experienced ZERO accidental activations of the device. Level 3 strength pulses are startling enough to represent a serious concern if one is involved in activities such as driving or climbing a ladder (use the device responsibly!!!!) - so zero false positives in months is a huge deal.
The device uses pseudo-random noise, CRC checks and other techniques to totally screen out interference. There were also zero lost packets when the receiver is within solid range of the remote control.
WATERPROOFING
The point where the arousal inducer meets the cable is still not perfectly identical across parts. A standard part was used for the shower test. Shower lasted 20 minutes, included heavy water jets, soap, and what not. The test was successful: no water entered the enclosure.
The waterproofing is now advanced enough that you won't need to be extra vigilant when closing the device. We're also adding brass inserts so you can't screw the screws in too tightly and ruin the plastic. However it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure all the rubber parts make good contact! The grommets will be pre-installed but it doesn't hurt to check them before you close the enclosure. The only part to look out for is the o-ring. If this is not placed correctly water may leak into the enclosure. We will post videos and pictures showing what to look out for. It's not rocket surgery.
AROUSAL INDUCER
The reliability of the arousal inducer depends on its exact location. The best positioning is under the frenum but this interferes with the inner electrode if one is not very careful. Positioning the part on a side reduces its effectiveness. Maximum insensitivity to penis size variation throughout the day was obtained placing the arousal inducer higher up near the neck of the cage. Here, good contact is ensured regardless of "hydraulics".
Overall the part is reliable, and since anatomy differs we'll leave it up to each user to optimize the placement of this part. The CBx000 cages have a number of holes which may be used to "tie" the arousal inducer and fix it in place. When its position is sufficiently high towards the entrance of the cage though, it will be held firmly in place by the penis itself. Overall the part's functionality was tested successfully.
The perceived intensity of the stimulation also depends on pressure exerted by the penis (more pressure = better transmission of vibration).
SOUND (BEEP!)
Unless you're in a quiet room, pretty much forget about it! The waterproofing and rubber parts have reduced the volume of the formerly annoyingly loud "beep" down to a whisper, add some layers of clothing and background noise and you won't hear it at all. Example: walking on a busy street or at the supermarket. For this reason the "pager" function may be supplemented by some very mild and non-aversive current pulses (probably a fraction of a millisecond in length) to warn the wearer he's being paged, even in a noisy environment. We actually looked into ways to propagate sound through a waterproof enclosure (the enclosure is thinner near the buzzer and two walls touch the buzzer to try to transmit vibration to the outside). This was only partially successful. Oh well, can't both have the cake and eat it. Waterproof means even small molecules can't get through - sound transmission is obviously difficult...
ASSEMBLY
This turns out to be a bit involved. Of course we'll have videos/pictures in the future to show exactly how it's done.
Steps to assembly:
0. set up the cables and electrodes on the CBx000 cage. Assemble the DL2000 with all the rubber parts except the attachment rubber, and close tightly.
1. wear the CBx000 ring making sure the inner cable and arousal inducer cables go through the ring before it's closed
2. add the center pin
3. add the rubber attachment part (before it's screwed onto the receiver); this part has holes for the 3 pins to slide through. The attachment rubber can slide in when the ring is already closed (because it's soft)
4. use some mineral oil to slide the penis into the cage. One cable and one arousal inducer will share this tight space but you won't feel they're there. The penis is very sensitive to touch, but it doesn't have very high resolution or spatial perception. If you have foreskin it should be retracted as the penis slides through so the inner electrode can make good contact with the frenum. Also, retracting the foreskin will make the penis shape a bit more regular and easy to manipulate for best fit.
5. the pins now go through the cage, and the cage is locked in place. At this point the DL2000 is only attached by the cables to the cage.
6. attach the rubber attachment part to the DL2000 receiver using the screws
7. fasten the elastic band for comfort.
LOOKS
The unit looks pretty darn sexy especially with a black elastic band. The three black lines (attachment rubber and the elastic band on both sides) draw the eye to the receiver, positioned above the penis. Locked up and under robotized penile control, sums it up pretty well.
We're VERY satisfied with the looks - we had focused exclusively on the look of the receiver itself but now that it's mounted on a human body we realize it's really quite suggestive and even... elegant. This is not even considering the multicolored light shining in response to different commands, giving the product a really far out sci-fi look when the lights are low. Proudly say: "My male is a cyborg!!!" :)
Some shaving is definitely in order before posting any pictures.

i allso think the swelling is dependend on how much foreskin your got...
