The steel mold to produce all of our plastic parts is being prepared. This is one of the largest tooling expenses. The process will take approximately 3-4 weeks and it includes many steps such as CNC cutting, spark cutting, polishing. We plan to show as much of this process in video format on this blog. When the mold is ready we will try to play around with adding colors to polycarbonate, to achieve a transparent but slightly more "finished" look.
This picture shows the DL2000 rechargeable remote control connected to a 5V wall wart USB adaptor (or whatever that thing is called). This won't be supplied with the product but it's relatively common and comes with many different USB appliances and mobile phones. Or, it may be purchased online, probably very cheaply.
