Disposable dermal punches could be used to make the holes in silicone. DL Labs could buy them in bulk and distribute them on request, or users might be able to find individual units for sale.
Yesterday I installed my newly arrived DL2000 with my birdlocked CB and yes, I can confirm that the installation is possible and extremely easy!
There are two points to observe:
1) Drilling a hole at the right place can easily be done with a normal hole puncher for belts. It's a similar procedure as described for the CB6000 in the help but much easier.
2) The tricky point is the ... hmm, how to say that in english? ... the black rubber shackle which connects the DL2000 with the birdlocked. The three holes at the end match to a CB3000/CB6000 but not to a birdlocked.
The solution is easy: Disconnect the shackle from the DL2000 (by removing the 4 screws), turn it 180° and re-attacht it.
Not a 100% solution but 98% at least ;)
